Presentation Summary
Retirement plans have rapidly evolved through increased automation, integration between payroll/HR information systems and recordkeeping systems and migration to a digital environment. While this evolution has been positive for Plan sponsors and Plan participants, organizations now face convergence of risks and opportunities. The Department of Labor responded to this changing environment initially in 2021 and then again in2024 providing guidance to Plan sponsors and fiduciaries to proactively address these risks to protect America’s retirement benefits.
This webinar will explore the cyber security threats that define your operational risk landscape, examine how artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to reshape that landscape and outline how cyber liability insurance can help mitigate the financial and legal consequences of these risks. The goal for this webinar is to create awareness of the cyber risks associated with sponsoring and operating a retirement plan and to help Plan sponsors to perform risk assessment processes to better mitigate these risks and understand the insurance landscape to insure against such risks.
Learning Objectives
- Understand today’s cyber risks in retirement plans, including the impact of AI and digital systems.
- Learn how to assess and reduce those risks as a plan sponsor or fiduciary.
- Explore how cyber liability insurance can protect against financial and legal consequences
