Presentation Summary

In this session, we will explore how personality can shape the way individuals view ethical situations. We will discuss different personality traits related to ethics and work through case studies that bring these traits into real examples.

Learning Objectives

    • The different personality traits we should be aware of and take into consideration during ethical situations.
    • What we need to consider in ethical situations based on our personality traits.
    • Using case studies to talk about ethical traits in our personality.

    Theresa Conti has been involved in the retirement plan industry for more than 35 years. In keeping with her dedication to the industry, Theresa holds many designations and is fully involved in the industry, volunteering with many industry associations including ASPPA and NIPA along with presenting at industry events and writing regular articles for industry publications and LinkedIn. Theresa is also currently the Executive Director of The Cerrado Group which is a consortium of independent third-party administrators to further expand the reach of the TPA in the marketplace. Theresa also partnered and launched a podcast called “Step into the Pivot” and continues to work within various aspects of coaching and consulting.

    Lynn M. Young is a partner  of the firm and is an enrolled actuary with over 40 years experience in the consulting and administration of qualified defined benefit, cash balance, and defined contribution plans. As an enrolled actuary, Lynn specializes in actuarial consulting and third-party administration of defined benefit retirement plans. Lynn is the Past-President of the American Society of Enrolled Actuaries (ASEA, formerly ACOPA). Lynn, along with her fellow actuaries at Pinnacle, authored 2016-2024 Editions of the Defined Benefit Answer Book, published by Wolters Kluwer.
